photo gram tree

Alright my first idea for a project. At first I was thinking about making another lamp. But I want to do something different.


So I had the idea of collecting various leaves, make a photo gram of them, cut them out, paint them, glue pain tissue paper on them with watered down elmer's glue to give it some texture, put them together so that it looks like a tree with some black yarn as the trunk and branches, press it between two peaces of glass, and frame it.


The colors I was thinking about for the leaves were light and dark green, light blue, red, yellow, some purple, orange, with black yarn. I might have to photo gram the yarn, in which case the color wouldn't matter.


I was also thinking of cutting out images of birds, flowers, and other various things and hiding them through out the tree, so you see something new every time.


I want the glass to be see through so the tree looks like its suspended in the air, but I dont know how that will work or how to get it to stay in the frame. Just a few problems, but I could turn this into a huge project and work on it all this semester.
